Paris, loved by so many, was a bit of a let-down for me. Perhaps because of the hype, or possibly because of the company, I have never been motivated to return.

That said there is more than enough to fill at least a week and the food and wine alone may be worth a trip out. If you’re lucky enough to have hot weather, the banks of the Seine become a haven for sun-worshippers. And a boat-trip is a great way to see the city. The Eiffel tower is worth a climb and if shopping is your bag the Champes Elysee is a must. Not much more to say other than it is a fabulous city, just didn’t quite do it for me.
