Charming Brussels
One of the quietest capital cities I have visited, but charming enough to be worth a short visit. If you’re in London it only takes a couple of hours on the train so if you’re exploring Europe it is logical to pass through here.
The city doesn’t have much in the way of uniqueness, except the European Parliament. If war is your thing the War museum boasts a very impressive collection but be sure not to travel out when Parliament is in session because, as we found out, they shut off all the routes from here back in to the city and you can find yourself stranded.
Mini-Europe is a very quaint little pro-EU attraction made up of miniature replicas of European cities’ finest monuments. But only visit if you can stomach one thousand reasons why Europe should unite and the Euro should reign supreme as the single currency.
